Warren Trask D.D. Denturist

Warren Trask, D.D. graduated from the Denturist Program at Vancouver Vocational Institute, now VCC, in 1983.

Warren is proud to have been asked to take over the Denturist Practice of his former Instructor in 1983 when Steve Odwin R.D. began teaching full-time.

His wife, Dr. Kim Trask DMD, joined the practice when she graduated from UBC Dental School in 1987.

In 2002 Warren completed his training in the Biofunctional Prosthetic System (BPS). And in 2005 completed the BPS Masters program. Warren has recently been certified in Dr. Jiro Abe’s SEMCD Lower Suction Denture technique.

Over the years, Warren has been involved in the growth and progression of the denturist profession. He has served as:

Vice President of the BC Denturist Association; Chairperson of the Education Committee, the Fair Practice committee, Evaluation and Complaints committee

Lifetime Appointment as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Denturism (dedicated to denturists training denturists)

Chairperson of the Program Advisory Committee at Vancouver Community College and part-time Instructor

Inquiry Committee Chairperson for College of Denturists of British Columbia (the regulatory body for denturists)

Examiner and evaluator for denturist licensing exams

Vy Nguyen D.D., C.D.T Denturist, Certified Dental Technician

Trask Denture Clinic was pleased to welcome Vy to our team in 2010.

Vy moved from Vietnam to Vancouver in 2003. Following her uncle’s footsteps, in 2007, Vy entered the Dental Technology Program at Vancouver Community College. In 2008, with hard work and dedication, she received the BC Award from the College of Dental Technicians of BC. She received her Dental Technology Diploma from Vancouver Community College in 2009.

In 2010, Vy began working at Trask Denture Clinic as our full-time dental technician. She started working as an instructor at CDI College in their Dental Technology Program in 2014. She continued at CDI College until 2016.

With her desire to expand her knowledge and skills, she entered the Denturist Training Program at CDI College, and in 2017, graduated with honours.

She completed her 1-year internship with Warren Trask. She has successfully challenged the BC Denturist Licensing Exam and has become a licensed Denturist at Trask Denture Clinic. Vy has recently taken training and has been certified in Ivoclar’s Biofunctional Prosthetic System (BPS) technique. She is also fluent in Vietnamese.

With her passion for quality and more than 12 years of experience, Vy has made a wonderful addition to our team and hopes to continue as a major part of Trask Denture Clinic for years to come.

Shawn, Receptionist

Meet our receptionist, Shawn. Shawn joined our team in 2009. You will meet her first when you call to book your appointment with us, and her smiling face will greet you when you arrive.

She has been working as a dental receptionist since 1991. Shawn keeps busy when she isn't working, enjoying dancing, running and cycling, among other outdoor activities.
